Senior Championship Resumes at Weekend

Maigh Cuilinn resume Championship action with yet another familiar opponent in Ahascragh-Fohenagh, who they last met in the Intermediate championship in 2015 at semi-final stage. The win secured Senior status for the westerners although Ahascragh-Fohenagh have only had to wait a year to make it to Senior for the first time ever. After the results in the last round, all but Kilnadeema/Leitrim need results to keep play-off hopes alive and/or avoid the relegation deciders. The July round can be a lottery with many clubs finding their student body abroad. After three rounds in Pearse Stadium, Maigh Cuilin make their 2017 debut in Kenny Park on Saturday at 5 pm
