Magh Cuilinn U12 and U13 complete group stages

Both our U12 and our U13 Moycullen hurlers completed their Group stage campaigns with victories in the past week. Both teams are competing in the A division which is the highest level of underage hurling in Galway. The U12s have finished with 3 wins, 3 defeats and a draw and currently lie in third place in their group. Their recent victory was an away win over Sarsfields in Bullaun.

Our U13s had a difficult start, losing their first five games although at this level their tends not to be much of a gap in class in many of the games, with only a couple of scores in the difference in most of those games. To their credit, they kept it going and in game six beat table toppers and previously unbeaten Kilconieron by 0-06 to 1-02. They completed their campaign with a 2-04 to 1-03 at Castlegar, the only other team to take a point off Kilconieron. They can therefore look forward with some confidence to a Shield semi-final in August.

The progress at underage is a reward for all the hard work put in over several years, both these teams in A, an U14 A1 Shield win, U16s  in the B final and even our Minors still in with a shout of a B quarter final.
