What a great day to spend Mother's Day and pass the morning before our Galway Hurlers performed in the Gaelic Grounds later that afternoon. Our young enthusiastic hurlers showed great displays of skill and determination and after a pep talk from their coach, Dave Kearns, they performed even better and ended the match on a high! Well done lads!

There will be no goal here!

Thanks to all the parents, grandparents, siblings and friends who travelled to support the boys.

.

A special word of thanks to Na Piarsaigh Club who showed great hospitality and provided us with food and refreshments back in the clubhouse after the game

The players even got the opportunity to play hurling on the gaelic grounds pitch

and some got photos with their heroes.

It was a great day out for everyone and we look forward to the next outing. We would also like to thank Vivian our bus driver for his patience,

Maureen in Supermacs, Gort for taking the food order of 40 snack boxes, the Manager of Supermacs Gort for the free icecream to the Mammies on Mothers Day and to the Galway Hurlers who looked for our young players to pose for the photo, which topped of a truly memorable day!
